But there's also another aspect to consider: they are tangible proof that interest in Lady Oscar is experiencing a new, splendid spring!

And we love to see it!

Of course, the fandom's love has never truly waned, but it's undeniable that we are witnessing a widespread resurgence. In my opinion, this is due to various factors that are alchemically reacting with each other:

  • The new film by Studio MAPPA. Critically debated and, let's admit it, somewhat vilified in some of its parts—and partly for good reason, we know—it was nevertheless the spark that reignited a vibrant and widespread interest!

  • The broadcast of the classic anime on #ITALIA2, which, thanks to the power of social media, was followed by a huge audience. I myself, with my Instagram account @msutekhi, published daily posts and reflections that received an incredible response. And I wasn't the only one: other influencers did the same.

  • Then there's #TikTok, which is teeming with videos dedicated to the anime.

  • #YouTube with themed channels (by the way, go watch my video "Why You Should Love Lady Oscar"!).

In short, the love for the classic anime is still so strong and alive, as is the desire to read and collect Lady Oscar merchandise. And we want it to stay that way, because the scent of roses never fades!

I'll let you in on a dream of mine: it would be magnificent to join forces for a live event with the legendary original voice actors... and with Ryoko Ikeda herself! Okay, maybe it's a utopian dream, but what's wrong with dreaming big?
